3/13/10 Play Date
What:A Play
Date!
Who:Wonderful children with
Down syndrome, ages 2-5
Hi! I am
Jennifer, better known as Jack's mom! I
thought it might be nice to start having some play-dates for our children. So,
here is the first one! Your whole family is welcome to come.
Please bring anything you will need like snacks and drinks. This is a
very comfortable, play at the park, and visit time! The age
range is 2-5, but if you have one close to that age, and you want to come, well
come on!
We do have
one big request: If your child is sick, or even
possibly sick, please do not come. There will be more
play-dates. We are really trying to create a HEALTHY
environment in which our children can play with others. So, if
your child or someone living in your home is sick, please be considerate of our
children who have weaker immune
systems. We appreciate it very much!
Jonny, Jack, and I sure hope you and
your child(ren) can make it! Let's slide, swing, run, laugh and play with
these amazing gifts God gave us!

WHY: To make legible and fluent handwriting an easy and automatic skill for children with special needs. Unique and compelling curriculum design and teaching strategies facilitate this goal. We use multi-sensory techniques and consistent habits for letter formation to teach handwriting to kids pre-K through cursive. It also helps improve a child's self-confidence, pencil grip, body awareness and posture.
